Having a furry friend around can result in a lasting and meaningful bond, but it’s also a big responsibility! We at Boardwalk know how important dogs are to our Residents. They promote exercise, help with mental health, and create a special companionship.
Many of our communities’ are dog-friendly, so long as they do not cause any disturbances to the community. There’s plenty to consider and prepare for when getting a new dog, so here are a few tips on maintaining a safe environment for your furry friend and those around you.
Tip 1
For safety purposes, we encourage you to spay and neuter your pets. We also encourage you to vaccinate your pets, as it prevents your four-legged friend from spreading or catching diseases. It’s always a good idea to bring your pet for regular check-ups.
Tip 2
If only our dogs could pick up after themselves. Whenever you take your friend for a walk around our community, remember to pick up after him. It ensures a clean community and prevents other Residents from accidentally stepping in it. Try bringing extra bags with you on walks so you never wind up in a messy situation.
Tip 3
Always keep your pet on a leash. Not only is it Boardwalk’s policy, but it’s a safety precaution for both your pet, other pets, and Residents. Remember, not everyone loves dogs as much as we do. Consider taking your dog to an off-leash dog park, so they can run around freely and mingle with other dogs.
Whether you are a current Boardwalk Resident or looking for a new home, bring your pets to meet the Boardwalk Team! At Boardwalk, we know your pets are part of your family, so we do all we can to make sure they enjoy their new home as much as you do.
